Canalside Community Food

A local community supported agriculture scheme, based on a farm just outside Leamington Spa.  They offer weekly shares of freshly grown, seasonal, local, organic vegetables whilst trying to reconnect people to the countryside around them, the food they eat and the people who have grown it.

South Warwickshire Local Food

This Community Interest Company, set up in 2010, aims to encourage the production and consumption of locally grown, seasonal food, through fresh food co-ops, food production projects, garden and fruit share schemes and community orchard schemes. Community Food Projects

The project aims to create a good food culture in the deprived community of Lillington, Leamington Spa. We promote healthy eating and show how this can be done on a budget. We encourage consumption of local food by promoting an understanding of the complete cycle of food production from ‘plot to plate’.

Every week, people in Lillington club together and buy fresh fruit and vegetables.  A full bag is £3 and half a bag is £1.50.  There is an emphasis on providing local, seasonal food at an affordable price.

Farmers’ markets

Markets are a great place to shop, meet people, and learn more about the area. The markets are full of good food and great fun for all the family. As well as an array of fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, you will also find a whole host of other delights such as fresh meat, eggs, pickles, chutneys, cheese and sausages. Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens (FCFCG)

The FCFCG supports, advises and represents community-managed farm and garden projects in urban areas. It is a membership organisation. Most material is available in hard copy format only. GreenSpace

Green Space promotes the regeneration of parks and public spaces.
