Information Stall Assistant

Project overview

Action 21 hosts information stalls at lots of local events to showcase our projects and tell people how they can get involved in what we do.

Principal Function of Volunteer

To represent Action 21, talking to members of the public about us and answering any questions they may have.

Tasks and Activities

As a volunteer you will carry out some or all of the following activities, depending on your individual capabilities and preferences. This list is only a guide to the types of activities that may be required.

  • Speak to members of the public who visit the information stall about our projects and/or about ways in which they could get involved.
  • Help create and improve our displays

Benefits

This one-off volunteering activity provides a very simple and easy way to do something positive in your community and learn more about Action 21’s activities.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience sought

No previous experience is required as full support will be given.  We’ll tell you beforehand about Action 21 and try and buddy you up with an experienced volunteer if you’re new to the organisation. We only ask volunteers to be enthusiastic and willing to talk to members of the public about Action 21 and sustainable living.

Minimum age: 16yrs

Time commitment required

We normally ask volunteers to commit to a 2 hour shift on the stall, after which we’ll provide a free food token (up to £3)

Upcoming events

For most of these events we ask volunteers for a minimum of a 2 hour shift.  For events further afield where transport is limited we may ask volunteers to help out for the whole day.
