Recycling Steward at Local Festivals

sunshine

Recycling stewards needed at this summer's festivals!

Leamington's Peace Festival - 19th and 20th June 2010

Warwick Folk Festival - 23rd - 25th July 2010

Help for just two hours and you'll receive a meal voucher.

Last year we diverted 1.5 tonnes of recyclable waste from landfill. Let's try and do even better this year!

Project overview

Action 21 provides a recycling service at various local events and festivals including Leamington’s Peace Festival and Latin Festival.  At last year’s Peace Festival we diverted over 1.8 tonnes of waste generated by the festival from going to landfill!

Principal Function of Volunteer

As a Recycling Steward Volunteer you’ll work in a team to collect rubbish on site and sort it for recycling.

Benefits

This one-off volunteering activity provides a very simple and easy way to do something positive in your community and learn more about Action 21’s activities.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience sought

None – just enthusiasm!

Time commitment required & expenses

Volunteers are asked to give 2 hours of their time and in return receive a free hot meal for their efforts.  This means you’ll have plenty of time before or after your volunteering session to enjoy the festival!  We have an online rota on our website where you can view the shift times and see what slots are still available.
