Social Network Websites Volunteer

Project overview

Action 21 recognise the new communication opportunities that social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter provide.  We need volunteers to help us communicate with our volunteers, members and members of the public.

Principal Function of Volunteer

Volunteers take responsibility for updating one of the social networking sites or blogs we use.

Tasks and Activities

As a volunteer you will carry out some or all of the following activities, depending on your individual capabilities and preferences. This list is only a guide to the types of activities that may be required.

  • Researching for blogs or tweets.
  • Posting blogs or tweets on a daily basis
  • Liaising with Action 21 staff and volunteers
  • Compiling a “contingency” 2 week store of blogs so that they can continue to be posted in the event of absence/illness of volunteer.
