Action 21 offers you the opportunity to have a solar water heating system at home. A solar water heating system, installed on your roof and plugged in to your plumbing, can meet up to 75% of your hot water needs without using any gas or electricity. Just think; a bath powered by the sun, or washing up with water heated from millions of miles away.
Water heating accounts for around 1/6 of each house's energy use, and having a solar thermal installation will decrease your CO2 emissions by about ½ tonne CO2 per year.

It doesn’t have to be sunny all the time and it definitely doesn’t have to be hot. Solar water heating is even more effective in the UK than in many hotter countries because our atmosphere is far less polluted.
Over the coming months Action 21 wants to double the number of solar water heating systems installed in the Warwick District. Action 21 wants to help you to reduce your water heating bill and your environmental footprint.

How does the scheme work?
- You tell us you’re interested by filling in the initial interest form, either online or by downloading the form and returning it to us. Alternatively you can call 01926 453030.
- We send you a questionnaire to make sure that your house is suitable.
- If your house is suitable, we then work together to find a cluster of 6-8 people nearby who want solar water heating too. The scheme works on the basis of group discounts arranged with our supplier.
- Our partners at the South Warwickshire Credit Union can help you to flexibly finance the installation. Monthly repayments can be as little as £60 over four years.
- Eco2solar installs your solar water heating system, guaranteed for 10 years.
- You earn your money back within 5-10 years.
