Transport Action

Display of historic cycles at Kenilworth Car Free Day 2004
"We consider sustainable transport to include all forms of transport that are less damaging to the environment and contribute less to traffic congestion than one-person car journeys. Specific examples are, walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing."
Aims
- To promote the use of sustainable transport in Warwick District
- To support the sustainable options in transport policy consultations that affect Warwick District
- To set a personal example by using sustainable transport whenever possible
Methods
- We will initiate and encourage projects that support our aims
- We will build and maintain links with local groups who share our aims
- We will seek opportunities to influence organisations who can deliver our aims
Take Transport Action!
You can buy yourself a cheap, second-hand and refurbished bicycle from Action 21's Re-Useful Centre. Or how about volunteering in the Bicycle Workshop? We're also now running bicycle maintenance courses, so email info@action21.co.uk if you'd like to participate.
If you've got a great idea for a transport project which you'd like to initiate as a Green Champion, then please contact us.
Find more transport-related projects on the Practical Projects page.
There's lots more information about sustainable transport in our Online Directory.
